Frequently Asked Questions
Refunds & Cancellations
WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON.
Our events are all indoor events.
If you have scheduling issues, we are sorry to hear this.
We hope that you will be able to attend as planned.
Space Size
Our spaces are 8' wide by 6' deep. ALL items must be kept within your allotted space. Any items outside of your space will be removed.
Allowed Goods
People who bring items not listed on their application will need be asked to remove them. This may cause a person to no longer be welcome to participate in our future fairs.
Please note: If you sell any items that require a license to sell, you will need to provide a copy of your license to us prior to the payment. This includes, but is not limited to, food, plants, etc.
We do NOT allow any firearms, tobacco products, plants, or anything aside from food that requires a license.
If you have questions on whether something requires a permit or license, please contact us.
Display & Presentation
We require all tables to be covered. Not only does it make your space more presentable as a whole, but it also makes our market look much more appealing to our customers.
Placement Requests
If you would like to be near someone, we have a space on our application for requests. We will NEVER guarantee your request will be honored, but we do try.
We do NOT allow for specific placement requests to be made, such as the location of your space within the mall.
Double Spaces
Additional spaces are not always an option. When we have the space, we offer the option.
Electricity
We do not offer electricity in any of our spaces.
Wi-Fi/Internet Access
Wi-Fi is NOT offered by the mall. Many shops do have access throughout the mall, however, we can NOT guarantee that you will be placed in an area with Wi-Fi. Plan accordingly with a cell phone or hotspot.
Email Address
The email address for our markets is fair@mainelyhandmade.com. We will NOT address maker's market issues through any other shop email address.
Item Photos
Photos must be submitted with the applications. Having photos allows us to ensure that we not only have a variety of items but that our makers are not located near anyone making similar things.
Applications without photos are discarded.
Food Items
All food vendors MUST submit their licensing information. This means we need a copy of your cottage or commercial food license.
Contact
Applicants will receive a payment link OR an email asking for more information. Our emails often go to spam. If you do not hear from us within a couple of days (please note, we are closed Monday through Wednesday) YOU should reach out to us. It is likely at this point that our email went to your spam folder. It happens, there is nothing we can do about it.
You can reach us via email at hello@207makersmarket.com.
We no longer have the shop at the Auburn Mall, so the phone is no longer an option.
Early Departure
If you leave early for any reason without clearing it with management first, you will not be permitted to participate in any of our future events.
No refunds, partial or otherwise, are granted for early departure.
No Show
We understand that life happens. It is happening to all of us every single day.
If you cannot attend an event, it is best to notify us as soon as you are aware that you are unable to attend.
While we do not offer refunds, it is best not to have gaps in the flow of the event.
Please contact us via email at fair@mainelyhandmade.com to alert us if you cannot make it.
Kindness
If you are not courteous to our staff and the makers around you, we will know about this and you will NOT be welcome back. Be kind.
Payment Due Date
If your payment is not received within 2-3 days (48-72 hours) of our email being sent to you, we may bump you from your place.
Payment secures your space, not an application.
Liability
You are attending our event at your own risk.
Mainely Handmade and/or the Auburn Mall are not in ANY way responsible for any people, property, or profits.
This includes any accidents and/or injuries.
Insurance is always good to have, just in case.
Taxes & Licensing
Any taxes, permitting, or licensing that you require are 100% your responsibility.
We simply offer you a safe place to sell your wares to our community members.
Check-in & Set-up
We always begin our check-in 2 hours prior to the start of the event.
In 2024 our events all start at 11 am, this means our check-in will ALWAYS begin at 9 am.
